26/07/2005 Note : 10.0 Titre : TAAL was created in 1992 by the trio funder: guitar (Anthony GABARD), bass (David DOSNON) and drum (Loïc BERNARDEAU). A powerful experimental and improvised rock was the concept of this first formation playing under different names : STUART'n CO, LITTLE RATTLE, STRATUS. In 1996, a keyboard (Sébastien CONSTANT) join the Band. The music acquires then a symphonic aspect witch marks the first steps of TAAL band. In 2000, MUSEA RECORDS produced "Mr green" witch sold of this first opus make the reputation of the band through out the world progressive music network. At the end of the years 2000, after a first concept venue (Mr GREEN DREAM) mixing concert, theâter and animated film, TAAL integrate six new members (4 strings, 1 drummer,1 flute). Since the generous compositions mixing musical pluralism and virtuosity come to reinforce the work of the strong experimented team and gigs. The years 2001-2002 show the birth of a welded band coming out intensively, creative as well on stage as in studio. In March 2003, MUSEA RECORDS produce the second TAAL album witch follow a french and a world tour. 2004 is a new years for the TAAL Band. The formation is now composed by six musicians. An international tour begin for us and the conception of their third album. What's TAAL! It's the name of a volcano surrended by a lac. It's also the connection of artists and musicians come from different horizons witch cross over their influences, create together their own musical univers. Children of progressive rock and classical music gear freed repertory, their music influences come from jazz, electro. It's a mixter of ethnic and primitive rythmics, true to the original but obviously open to the future. The topics research mixing power of rock and classical instrument sonority allow to cross the frontier of established genre and create something else. The original band is composed by six members: Drum and lead vocal: Loïc BERNARDEAU Guitars: Anthony GABARD Bass: Xavier WOERLY Keyboards: Guillaume HABRIAS Flute and lead vocal: Hélène SONNET Alto : Manue BOURRIAUD The diversity of melodies rock up and fit together to form a turbulent polyphony of a group witch asunder of progressive "clichés" then SKYMIND album invites you to dream, draw a real oniric travel restore the mercy of emotion, the tension of the worst nightmares. It's also an explosive stage performance -very remarked- TAAL, on this way, risk an inclassable existence genre (even if you can find noticed influences). It's a free band! Invitation to sonor trip of such a formation purpose you an alternative of music ready to be carried out and allows you to make your own feelings.
