Annonce Officielle :
"It seems incredible to me that we are now over ten years on from the release of For All We Shared our first album. In some ways it seems like yesterday, but when you gaze at a list of the best part of one hundred songs it somehow sobers your perspective of the time, but what a journey! It has been without doubt the most incredible decade of my life, and in turn I hope that Mostly Autumn has brought something to each and every one of you, for your support has without doubt been the life blood that has kept the spiritual engine that is Mostly Autumn alive, and for that we sincerely thank you.
To celebrate this time, we felt it very appropriate, and to be honest, essential, to mark it with a three disc snapshot of what weve been up to. I wont pretend that choosing the songs was easy. In fact at first it seemed an insurmountable task. What do we leave off? How do we express all the varying textures of the different albums? I knew from the start that we could never please everybody, possibly even ourselves, but the only way forward I could see was to compile three discs, all with a different individual feel and mood, yet still running like albums in their own right.
After many weeks of experimentation and intense listening I felt it suddenly start coming together and I must say that it was an incredible emotional, nostalgic, roller coaster ride and in the end we couldnt help but feel a wonderful sense of pride. I know its probably not for me to say, but it really is rather good.
What really stands out to me is how songs from different eras went so well together, almost as if they could have been recorded on the same album, and how certain songs illuminate other songs that are around them in a way as never before.
This was the final icing on the cake. We went to Fairview Studios with John Spence to look at re-mastering. Weve been working with John for most of the last ten years and I must say that the relationship has just evolved so beautifully and productively that there was nobody else we could trust so implicitly to do the job. We vigorously and intensely re-mastered every single moment on these discs and I have to say that the results are fantastic. It has breathed fresh life into all the songs, even recent ones. I guess being able to step back from the material has allowed us to see more clearly what could be done to improve it sonically. All in all it worked beyond our expectations, as I hope you will find when listening. Once again, thank you all. I hope you enjoy the ride, and heres to the next ten years."
