"Hello from the world of Phideaux. We just wanted to let you know that our new album is to be released on June 21, 2007. "Doomsday Afternoon" is the album we've always wanted to make. A single unified song cycle with many twists, turns and an exciting finale. However, you can be the judge of that as we've uploaded the two final tracks onto our MySpace page. Drop by and let us know what you think of the new songs (Microdeath Softstar and Formaldehyde).
"Doomsday Afternoon" continues the trilogy begun with "The Great Leap" and once again features the beautiful artwork of Molly Ruttan. Described as sinister beauty, the paintings depict the major themes of the album, an eco-terror tale. Prepare for doom and catch us performing live this summer. "Doomsday Afternoon" is our first album to contain an orchestra as well as some astounding guest performances from a few people we greatly admire."
