The French group EXODE is led by singer-songwriter Roland LELONG, who once shared the stage with one famous Seventies theatrical Progressive rock band from the city of Belfort: ANGE. It is no surprise if the current sextet chose the musical style of the latter, including the title of one of its most renowned tracks. Published by the Musea label, "D’Ici Et D’Ailleurs” (2005) can be considered as being directly connected with the music created by ANGE and MONA LISA. The theatrical singing shines all over that first album, developing poetic lyrics about fairy and mythology. Between the Mellotron, the organ and the flute, nothing is missing to pursue the Seventies' spirit. Nevertheless, EXODE is clever enough to revisit this universe with a refreshing enthusiasm. This is great stuff indeed, who'll surely enchant Seventies French Progressive rock lovers. Not to be missed ! EXODE va faire causer dans les chaumières ! La formation française est dirigée par le compositeur et chanteur Roland LELONG, qui a notamment partagé la même scène qu’un célèbre groupe belfortain de rock Progressif théatral des années soixante-dix: ANGE. Rien d'étonnant à ce que sextette actuel adopte le style musical de ce dernier, ainsi que le nom de l'une de ses plus fameuses compositions. Publié par le label Musea, "D’Ici Et D’Ailleurs" (2005) peut être considéré comme une digne continuation du discours musical créé par ANGE et MONA LISA. Le chant théâtral irradie ce premier album, développant des textes poétiques mythiques et féériques. Entre le Mellotron, l'orgue et la flûte, rien ne manque à l’esprit des Seventies. Cependant, EXODE a l'intelligence de revisiter cet univers avec un enthousiasme communicatif. Du beau travail, intense et sincère, qui ravira les amoureux du rock Progressif français des années soixante-dix. A ne pas manquer ! ...
