Voiceprint records vient de donner des précisions concernant ANTHONY PHILLIPS et la sortie de "Wildlife" et la réédition de "The Geese and the Ghost" :
"The long-awaited release dates for "Wildlife" and the re-issue of "The Geese & The Ghost" have now been announced by Voiceprint Records. Wildlife is the new album from Anthony Phillips & Joji Hirota ....
Between 1994 and 2000, Anthony and Joji collaborated on a number of outstanding soundtracks for wildlife television programmes in the award-winning Survival series. In addition, Anthony also wrote and recorded the music for a programme in the BBC series The Natural World.
Now for the first time highlights from these richly atmospheric and evocative soundtracks are available as a new collection: Wildlife. From the flooded forests of the Amazon to the huge expanses of the Serengeti, from the cold wastes of Kamchatka in Russia to the peaceful tranquillity of the Norfolk countryside - the music of Wildlife reflects these habitats and the amazingly diverse range of creatures that populate them.
Wildlife features selections from the music for the programmes Creatures of the Magic Water, Jaguar: Eater of Souls, Serengeti Jigsaw, Web of the Spider Monkey, Dungeons & Dragons, Secrets of a Norfolk Wood, Bears of the Russian Front, Gremlins: Faces in the Forest, Jurassic Shark, Midway Island of Life and Secrets of the Amazon.
Several of the Survival programmes were filmed by the late Nick Gordon and the sleeve notes for the album include Ant's specially written tribute to Nick.
The Geese & The Ghost is set for release on 14th April and "Wildlife" is due to follow a week later on 21st April. The re-issue of Wise After The Event is due for release on 19th May to tie in with the 30th anniversary of the album's original release in 1978. The re-issue of 1984 is then planned to follow in June.
